• Take ownership of the technical architecture for IPC services, making design choices that balance rapid delivery with long-term sustainability.
• Create, develop, and maintain backend services utilizing Python + PostgreSQL, Go, and a Java-based Drools rules engine.
• Lead technical initiatives across teams — collaborate with other Bestow engineering teams to strategize and implement integration efforts across the platform.
• Enhance platform capabilities that scale with Bestow's expanding partner ecosystem — including new carrier onboardings, product launches, and configuration adaptability.
• Guide engineers within the team through code reviews, design assessments, and collaborative programming — elevate the technical standards without causing delivery delays.

• Integrate agentic AI coding tools as a fundamental aspect of your workflow and assist the team in adopting effective AI-driven development practices.
• Articulate technical decisions, trade-offs, and updates clearly in writing — as the team operates in a remote-first and asynchronous environment.

• Strong expertise in Go and Python; Java experience is advantageous.
• Extensive experience with distributed systems, microservices, and API design (Protocol Buffers, OpenAPI).
• Proficient with PostgreSQL or other relational databases at scale.
• Practical experience with cloud infrastructure — Kubernetes, Docker, GCP (or equivalent).

• Demonstrated experience utilizing agentic AI coding tools as part of your daily workflow.
• Competitive salary and equity based on the role.
• Policies and management that promote work/life balance, including flexible paid time off and parental leave programs.
• 100% paid-premium option for medical, dental, and vision insurance.
• Lifestyle stipend to enhance your physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing.
