Staff Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

• Addressing complex technical challenges and devising innovative solutions to enhance our products as a key member of our development teams.

• Collaborating closely with software engineers to implement adaptable solutions that anticipate our customers' needs.

• Fostering innovation by proposing fresh and creative ideas for our products and processes.

• Tackling development challenges with a focus on user experience, performance, quality, and security considerations.

• Coordinating with other developers to advocate for exceptional software design and quality.

• Designing and managing APIs.

• Launching initiatives, iterating on them, and enhancing the team's performance while being dedicated to improving our products for users.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possesses a solid foundation in utilizing Java/Kotlin and JVM to develop scalable software solutions.

• Has some experience with JavaScript and TypeScript and is eager to expand that knowledge (NodeJs, Bun).

• Open to undertaking frontend tasks if necessary.

• Experienced with Spring and Gradle.

• Familiar with SQL queries and enhancing database performance.

• Knowledgeable in Kubernetes and AWS.

• Passionate about unit testing and integration testing.

• Experienced in designing and maintaining APIs for public use.

• Skilled in building and optimizing for performance.

• Creative and innovative in solving complex problems.

• A self-starter who inspires others through enthusiasm and collaboration.

• Committed to writing clean code and adhering to best practices in computer science.

• Keeps skills current by staying informed about industry developments.

• Holds a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
