Staff Auditor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• The Staff Auditor will be tasked with analyzing and executing essential audit procedures under the direction of a direct supervisor.

• He/she will also be responsible for preparing working papers that thoroughly document audit tests and procedures, supporting the conclusions drawn.

• Preparation of financial audit reports is required.

• This role involves conducting planning, analytical procedures, testing controls, identifying areas of audit risk, and effectively communicating findings and results.

• Completes unplanned client-related or internal firm projects, record-keeping, and other necessary tasks as required.

• Proactively manages their own workload, independently tracks deliverables, and identifies further advisory opportunities with existing clients.

• Maintains ongoing communication with clients and manages client relationships as needed, in conjunction with supervisors.

• Must possess experience with accounting software, primarily QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a preferred advanced degree.

• CPA designation is a plus.

• A minimum of 2–5 years of experience with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles.

• Experience in government enterprise companies, nonprofit organizations, and businesses that have received federal funding is preferred.

• Previous work with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is advantageous, though not essential.

• A proactive individual who is willing to take initiative.

• Hands-on approach, not one to delegate tasks for deliverables, reports, and tools.

• Familiarity with audit software is expected; we utilize Advance Flow from Thomson Reuters.

• Expertise in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online is highly beneficial.

• Technologically adept and proficient in using MS Office tools.
