This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

• Oversee the technical strategy and roadmap for Reddit’s Video Ads Android platform.

• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to elevate Video Ads into a leading industry format.

• Spearhead the technical design and execution of projects from initial roadmap stages to final delivery.

• Set Android best practices and conduct design reviews for video ads and unique Reddit ad formats.

• Manage the entire development lifecycle, including discovery, prototyping, testing, experimentation, and deployment.

• Mentor senior engineers across various teams, promoting best practices in design, testing, and operational excellence.

• Champion customer advocacy and exemplify technical leadership.

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering.

• 3+ years of extensive expertise in Kotlin and contemporary Android architectural patterns.

• Successfully completed 4+ Android development projects from conception to production deployment.

• Previous experience in Ad Tech, creating highly interactive and rich-media mobile experiences.

• Proven track record in delivering user-facing features where UI refinement and performance are paramount.

• Capability to design fault-tolerant client-side systems in complex, data-driven environments.

• Experience utilizing GenAI tools to enhance software engineering productivity.

• Proficient in product metrics and the design/analysis of experiments; familiarity with BigQuery, HEX, Firebase, or similar tools.

• Willingness to work across the technology stack and explore AI/ML integration.

• Self-motivated, innovative, and action-oriented, with a comfort level in ambiguous situations.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities in a fully remote setting.

• Strong skills in technical leadership, mentoring, organization, and prioritization.

• BS degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience with Video Ads at a scaled peer company, or proficiency in Jetpack Compose is a plus.
