This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Implement brand strategies and tactical initiatives in the field, successfully manage sales performance within the assigned territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate strong relationships with customers and enhance problem-solving abilities to optimize both short-term and long-term sales outcomes.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives, striving to meet or surpass these targets.
• Develop pre-call planning objectives and conduct post-call evaluations to foster continuous improvement in sales effectiveness.
• Skillfully manage objections, misunderstandings, and concerns, consistently leading to logical and reasonable actions that facilitate closing on each sales call.
• Actively and consistently work to fulfill customer needs, expectations, and challenges, building trusted relationships to secure mutually beneficial agreements between AbbVie and its customers.
• Create and implement a call plan that meets established call metrics while optimizing coverage and frequency with key customers to enhance access and sales opportunities.
• Continuously enhance understanding of customer needs, market landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, disease states, products, clinical insights, and sales expertise; share this market intelligence with the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to ensure alignment and anticipate changes and challenges in the environment, thereby optimizing brand strategy and its execution.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers and identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.
• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a related business field is preferred.
• At least five (5) years of relevant industry experience is required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, with three (3) or more years of experience in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred, along with a high school diploma/GED.
• Demonstrated history of leadership success and strong presentation skills.
• Solid business acumen and proficient use of business tools; possesses strategic and critical thinking abilities.
• Proactively recognizes customer styles and behaviors, adapting all aspects of the selling approach accordingly.
• Functions effectively within a matrix environment.
• Preferred: A proven successful track record in sales performance within relevant therapeutic areas.
• Preferred: Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Preferred: Exhibits comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge, recognized as an expert resource by all relevant stakeholders.
• Preferred: Proficient in the English language, both verbally and in writing (for non-English speaking countries).
