This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Implement brand strategy and tactics in the field, ensuring effective sales performance while managing the assigned territory and target accounts.
• Cultivate robust customer relationships and develop capability in addressing customer needs to enhance both short-term and long-term sales performance.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or surpass these goals.
• Establish pre-call plan objectives and conduct post-call evaluations to continually enhance sales performance.
• Skillfully address objections, misunderstandings, and concerns, consistently leading to logical and reasonable calls to action to close every sales call.
• Proactively strive to meet customer needs and expectations, building trustworthy relationships to facilitate mutually beneficial agreements between AbbVie and its customers.
• Create and implement a call plan that fulfills established call metrics while optimizing coverage and frequency with key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
• Continuously enhance understanding of customer needs and expectations, market landscape, competition, market segments/dynamics, accounts, disease, product, clinical, and sales expertise, sharing this market intelligence with the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to achieve alignment and anticipate environmental changes and challenges, optimizing brand strategy and execution.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition with healthcare providers and identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and advocates to enhance brand performance.
• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred; relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant industry experience is required, including at least three (3) years within the pharmaceutical, health, or science industry, alongside a high school diploma/GED.
• Demonstrates comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge, recognized as an expert resource by all relevant stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen with proficient utilization of business tools; possesses strategic and critical thinking skills.
• Proactively identifies customer styles and behaviors, quickly adapting to various aspects of the selling approach.
• Understands and leverages insights to formulate sales strategies.
• Proposes innovative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities and address challenges.
• Provides valuable insights for the larger organization and anticipates and adapts to changes.
• Functions effectively within a matrix environment.
• Influences peers and is regarded as a credible and respected role model and resource.
• Fosters collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and the matrix team.
• Leads by example, consistently exhibiting positive behaviors and peer coaching amidst challenging environments.
• Documented success in leadership and support roles with increased responsibilities at the district, region, and/or organizational levels.
• Preferred: Proven history of success in sales performance within relevant therapeutic areas.
• Commercial pharmaceutical industry experience, such as physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing is preferred.
• Proficiency in the English language, both verbally and in writing, is required for all non-English speaking countries.
• Essential to meet all applicable health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements for entry into facilities; must be in good standing or eligible to obtain these credentials.
