Spanish Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latvia.

📋 Description

• We are looking for a talented and motivated English-Spanish Interpreter to become part of our fully remote team located in Latin America.

• This position initially concentrates on Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI) and provides a clear opportunity for advancement into Video Remote Interpretation (VRI).

• You will be tasked with delivering precise, consecutive interpretation mainly in medical environments, while also facilitating essential communication in social services and financial fields.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of professional experience in remote medical interpretation is required.

• English Proficiency: A minimum C1 level of fluency is essential. Valid certifications from EF SET (4-Skill), TOEFL, or CAE are accepted.

• Medical Interpretation Certification: You must provide evidence of medical interpreter proficiency issued within the last 12 months. Accepted certifications include: ALTA with a minimum score of 9, and LanguageStat (PICSI) with a passing score of 75–80%.

• Core Skills: Proficient understanding of medical terminology and customer service language is required.

• Compliance: You must currently possess, or be willing to obtain, HIPAA and FWA (Fraud, Waste, and Abuse) certifications.

• Background Check: Willingness to successfully complete a standard background check via email is necessary.

• Technical & Workspace Requirements: An internet connection with a hardwired Ethernet cable directly to your router is mandatory (Wi-Fi is strictly prohibited). Hardware: A high-quality, noise-canceling USB headset is required. Computer Specs: A minimum of Windows 10 OS and 4GB RAM. Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome, Apple Safari, or Microsoft Edge is required. Workspace: A dedicated, quiet, and fully HIPAA-compliant working environment is essential.
