This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
• Collaborating with the Account Executive to gain a comprehensive understanding of the prospect's technical landscape, challenges related to Cloud Data Platform costs, optimization goals, and primary business objectives through detailed technical discovery sessions.
• Taking ownership of the technical validation and Proof of Value (POV) activities for SELECT, which involves thorough POC preparation, proactive project management, and ensuring positive technical outcomes that demonstrate clear value and align with prospect expectations.
• Customizing and presenting engaging demonstrations of the SELECT platform to prospects, effectively highlighting its features and addressing their unique use cases and concerns.
• Utilizing your analytical abilities and extensive knowledge of Cloud Data Platforms to create persuasive business cases and comprehensive ROI analyses that clearly convey the tangible benefits, cost savings, and performance enhancements possible with SELECT.
• Establishing yourself as the primary expert within the company for SELECT, ensuring that prospects achieve optimal outcomes and a smooth implementation process.
• Taking full responsibility for securing the technical win in SELECT engagements, guiding prospects through the technical assessment process, addressing all technical criteria, and building confidence in the solution.
• Representing DoiT and SELECT at company events and industry conferences, delivering captivating presentations and demonstrations to a broader audience, showcasing our expertise in Snowflake/Databricks (and soon BigQuery) optimization along with platform capabilities.
• Translating customer pain points and feature deficiencies into structured, technically sound feedback for R&D teams, representing the voice of the technical customer in roadmap discussions.
• Ensuring timely data entry into internal business support systems. Contributing to systems and tools that provide essential business information and metrics to highlight performance and effectiveness.
• Over 5 years of experience in a Solutions Engineering role within a B2B SaaS software organization, with a significant portion focused on selling to users of Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery, addressing challenges related to Cloud Data Platforms or cloud cost management.
• Profound and demonstrable knowledge of Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery, along with associated best practices.
• Practical experience with SaaS solutions centered on Cloud Data Platforms in areas such as observability, optimization, FinOps, or data integration.
• Excellent data analysis skills, with a proven ability to identify key trends, outliers, and correlations, and to translate these observations into actionable insights.
• Strong history of leveraging product data to develop compelling business cases and ROI justifications for potential customers, clearly outlining the significant cost savings and performance improvements achievable through our solution.
• Exceptional ability to clearly articulate intricate concepts related to Cloud Data Platforms and SELECT functionalities to both technical and business audiences in a concise manner.
• Outstanding verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, with the confidence and expertise to present sophisticated topics such as Cloud Data Platform optimization strategies and the compelling value proposition of SELECT.
• Strong intellectual curiosity, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a genuine passion for continuous learning and improvement within the evolving Snowflake/Databricks/BigQuery ecosystem.
• Proven experience engaging and presenting to executive-level prospects and clients on critical topics related to Cloud Data Platforms, particularly in cost management.
• Demonstrated experience with modern technical selling best practices and methodologies, along with a successful track record in competitive sales environments, including the capability to contribute to and implement effective trial, demo, and RFP processes specifically tailored for Cloud Data Platform optimization solutions like SELECT.
• Previous professional experience as a Snowflake/Databricks/BigQuery data engineer/architect or FinOps professional is advantageous.
• A proven history of success in a fast-paced and scaling business environment, ideally within the Cloud Data Platform ecosystem.
