This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Estonia.
• Collaborating with the Account Executive to gain a comprehensive understanding of the prospect's technical landscape, cost challenges related to the Cloud Data Platform, optimization objectives, and critical business goals through detailed technical discovery sessions.
• Taking ownership of the technical validation and Proof of Value (POV) initiatives for SELECT. This involves thorough POC preparation, proactive oversight, and ensuring successful technical outcomes that demonstrate clear value and alignment with the needs of prospects.
• Customizing and presenting engaging demonstrations of the SELECT platform to prospective clients, effectively highlighting its features and addressing their unique use cases and concerns.
• Utilizing your analytical capabilities and extensive knowledge of the Cloud Data Platform to create persuasive business cases and comprehensive ROI analyses that clearly communicate the measurable value, cost savings, and performance improvements attainable with SELECT.
• Establishing yourself as the primary expert within the organization for SELECT, ensuring that prospects achieve optimal results and a smooth implementation process.
• Assuming full responsibility for achieving technical success in SELECT engagements, guiding prospects through the technical evaluation phase, meeting all technical requirements, and instilling technical confidence in the solution.
• Representing DoiT and SELECT at company events and industry conferences, delivering engaging presentations and demonstrations to a broader audience, showcasing our expertise in Snowflake/Databricks (and soon BigQuery) optimization as well as platform capabilities.
• Converting customer pain points and feature gaps into structured, technically sound feedback for R&D teams. Acting as the voice of the technical customer in discussions regarding the product roadmap.
• Ensuring timely data entry into internal business support systems. Contributing to tools and systems that provide critical business information and metrics to highlight performance and effectiveness.
• Over 5 years of experience in a Solutions Engineering role within a B2B SaaS software company, with a substantial portion of that experience focused on selling to users of Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery, directly addressing challenges related to Cloud Data Platforms or cloud cost management.
• A profound and demonstrable understanding of Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery, along with associated best practices.
• Practical experience working with SaaS solutions that center on Cloud Data Platforms, particularly in the realms of observability, optimization, FinOps, or data integration.
• Outstanding data analysis skills with a proven ability to identify significant trends, outliers, and correlations, as well as translating those findings into actionable insights.
• A strong track record of leveraging product data to build compelling business cases and ROI justifications for potential customers, clearly showcasing the substantial cost savings and performance improvements possible through our solution.
• Exceptional ability to convey complex Cloud Data Platform concepts and SELECT functionalities in a clear, concise, and easily understandable manner to both technical and business audiences.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, with the confidence and expertise to discuss sophisticated topics such as Cloud Data Platform optimization strategies and the compelling value proposition of SELECT.
• Strong intellectual curiosity, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a genuine passion for continuous learning and improvement within the evolving Snowflake/Databricks/BigQuery ecosystem.
• Demonstrated experience working with and presenting to executive-level prospects and clients on critical issues related to Cloud Data Platforms, particularly in cost management.
• Proven experience with modern technical selling best practices/methodologies and a successful history in competitive sales environments, including the ability to contribute to and implement effective trial, demo, and RFP processes specifically designed for Cloud Data Platform optimization solutions like SELECT.
• Prior professional experience as a Snowflake/Databricks/BigQuery data engineer/architect or FinOps professional is a plus.
• A successful track record in a fast-paced and scaling business, ideally within the Cloud Data Platform ecosystem.
