Solutions Engineer – DoiT Cloud Intelligence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Technical Qualification & Discovery: Partnering with the Account Executive to gain a comprehensive understanding of the prospect's cloud environment, FinOps maturity, cost management issues, and operational objectives through detailed technical discovery sessions involving engineering, finance, and platform teams.

• Technical Validation & POV Leadership: Taking ownership and leading the technical validation and Proof of Value (POV) initiatives specifically for DoiT Cloud Intelligence. This encompasses thorough POV preparation, proactive management, and ensuring successful technical results that clearly demonstrate value and alignment with prospect needs.

• Platform Demonstrations: Creating and presenting engaging and customized demonstrations of DoiT Cloud Intelligence, highlighting features such as cloud cost visibility, optimization insights, and operational intelligence in complex multi-cloud settings.

• Business Case & ROI Development: Utilizing your knowledge of cloud economics and FinOps to construct persuasive business cases and ROI analyses that effectively communicate the financial and operational benefits of implementing DoiT Cloud Intelligence.

• Partner & Portfolio Motion Support (MSP, PE, SI): Assisting in technical engagements with Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Private Equity (PE) firms, and Systems Integrators (SIs) by illustrating how DoiT Cloud Intelligence provides portfolio-level visibility, operational insights across various cloud environments, and scalable optimization strategies.

• DoiT Cloud Intelligence Expertise: Establishing yourself as the primary expert within the organization for DoiT Cloud Intelligence, ensuring prospects and partners achieve optimal outcomes and a smooth onboarding process.

• Technical Win Ownership: Assuming complete responsibility for the technical success of DoiT Cloud Intelligence engagements, guiding prospects through the evaluation phase, addressing technical needs, and building trust in the platform’s ability to enhance cloud efficiency and operational insights.

• Event & Conference Presentations: Acting as a representative of DoiT Cloud Intelligence at company events, webinars, and industry conferences, delivering captivating presentations and demonstrations that showcase the platform’s cloud intelligence and FinOps capabilities.

• Product Feedback and Customer Advocacy: Transforming customer challenges, partner needs, and feature gaps into structured, credible technical feedback for product and engineering teams, contributing to the development of the Cloud Intelligence platform.

• Accurate, Timely Documentation: Ensuring prompt entry of data into internal business support systems and contributing to systems and tools that provide essential business information and metrics to showcase performance and effectiveness.


⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in a pre-Solution Engineering role at a B2B SaaS software company, targeting both enterprise and mid-market accounts.

• Knowledge of ITSM ecosystems and key solutions within them, including Cloud Management tools, DataDog, Chef, Ansible, Puppet, New Relic, ServiceNow, AlertLogic, etc.

• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or equivalent cloud platforms, alongside data center experience with familiarity in hypervisors like VMWare.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to navigate spreadsheets to identify trends, outliers, correlations, and reconciliation needs in large data sets.

• A solid understanding of cloud-centric architectures.

• Comfort in a metric-driven environment, including the ability to report on and enhance business performance against established monthly KPIs and metrics.

• Capability to simplify complex technological concepts for easy understanding.

• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Intellectual curiosity combined with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for continuous improvement.

• Previous experience presenting to executive-level prospects and customers.

• Familiarity with modern technical selling practices in competitive environments, including the implementation of new or improved trial, demo, and RFP processes.

• A proven track record of success in a rapidly growing and scaling business.
