Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Manage technical relationships with both customers and potential clients.

• Advocate daily in the integration sector to a diverse audience, ranging from C-level executives to developers.

• Lead and manage Proof of Concepts with potential customers for identified sales opportunities.

• Assist customers and prospects in understanding Solace technology from conceptual frameworks to practical applications.

• Collaborate closely with the sales team to provide technical support to customers.

• Conduct presentations, trials, and integration/architecture sessions for customers.

• Contribute to the development of new client accounts.

• Travel as needed to meet customer requirements, including potential global travel.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in technology, presales, or technical strategy consulting within the integration domain.

• Must have the ability to work without sponsorship.

• Proficiency in articulating technical concepts and solutions to various audiences, from CTOs/CIOs to developers.

• Strong presentation and whiteboarding capabilities.

• Engagement with stakeholders, along with providing technical leadership guidance, is necessary.

• Experience in presales is considered a plus.

• Knowledge of Messaging Middleware/Integration and familiarity with the application middleware domain.

• Technical expertise in messaging products like IBM MQ, TIBCO EMS/RV, and/or open-source messaging systems such as RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, etc., is advantageous.

• A solid understanding of SOA and JMS is essential, and familiarity with AMQP, REST, JavaScript, and MQTT would be beneficial.

• Experience with Enterprise Integration Patterns and solution architecture is a plus.

• Domain knowledge from a systems integration viewpoint in FSI, Telecommunications, Transportation, Insurance, or Manufacturing is highly valuable.

• Proficiency in application integration with Java, JavaScript, ESB/API tools, and/or C++/C.

• Experience in software development using Java or C++/C, along with SDKs and API integration.

• Familiarity with technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and PaaS platforms is required.

• General industry knowledge regarding Cloud, IoT, Big Data, Digital, networking, and other relevant technology areas would be advantageous.
