Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Taiwan.

📋 Description

• Comprehend Client Needs: Engage in meetings with both prospective and current clients to grasp their data requirements and propose solutions that address their business use cases.

• Technical Relationships: Manage the technical relationship with our most strategic and largest potential clients.

• Design Workflows: Develop and architect optimal workflows for integrating our solutions into clients' systems.

• Solution Presentations: Facilitate requirements discovery, deliver solution presentations, conduct Proof of Concept builds, and lead various workshop formats with clients.

• Engagement: Interact with both technical and non-technical clients to effectively showcase potential solutions.

• Scraping Expertise: Apply comprehensive knowledge of web scraping, data structures, and anti-bot bypass methods to support and advise clients.

• Technical Inquiries: Timely and accurately respond to advanced product and technical inquiries, RFPs, and security questionnaires.

• Customer Onboarding: Provide insightful technical guidance to ensure that customers successfully onboard with Oxylabs in a quick manner.

• Documentation: Record technical considerations and contribute to internal knowledge bases to assist other teams, customers, and partners.

• Sales Collaboration: Collaborate with the Sales and Account Management teams on engagements with prospective and existing customers to offer technical guidance and support.

• Product Feedback: Collect structured product feedback to assist Product and Engineering teams in enhancing and refining our offerings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong foundation in networking: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS/MTLS, proxies (HTTP/SOCKS), load balancing, NAT/VPN;

• Robust data background: Familiarity with APIs, data pipelines, quality/validation, normalization, and monitoring for data flows;

• Knowledgeable about digital-native architectures: APIs, microservices, event-driven patterns; hands-on debugging across layers;

• Basic understanding of cloud services: Practical experience with at least one global cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) and one China cloud (Alibaba/Tencent/Huawei/Byteplus);

• Excellence in discovery: Identifying use cases, constraints, and success criteria; aligning technical value with ROI;

• PoC design and delivery: Scoping, instrumentation, measurable outcomes, and clear handover processes.

• Experience in large-scale web data acquisition: Session management, fingerprinting considerations, CAPTCHA strategies, and rotation policies;

• Management of IP reputation; understanding of residential/mobile/datacenter IP sourcing in China and compliance constraints;

• Troubleshooting target-site variability and optimizing success rates.

• Ability to distinguish between GFW, target-site WAF, and ISP congestion;

• Familiarity with monitoring/telemetry stacks (e.g., Prometheus/Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry).

• Knowledge of Kubernetes/containers, Terraform, and CI/CD basics for infrastructure and application rollouts;

• Scripting skills for integrations/tooling (Python/Go/JS);

• Relevant certifications: CCNP/CCIE, Alibaba/AWS/Azure Associate/Professional, CKA/CKAD, CISSP/CCSP;

• Domain experience in AI, e-commerce, fintech, adtech, travel, or marketplace data in China.
