Solutions Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement deterministic and agentic automation orchestration for clients utilizing the Itential Platform.

• Integrate with API and MCP servers across standard infrastructure, networking, and ITSM systems.

• Leverage and manage clients' existing automation assets such as Ansible Playbooks, Terraform plans, Python scripts, and other relevant artifacts.

• Develop agentic automations through prompt engineering that effectively translates operator intent into dependable, repeatable orchestration.

• Apply Spec Driven Development during engagements, capturing intent as a clear specification prior to development.

• Execute technical discovery and solution orchestration to facilitate successful production automations at scale.

• Generate engagement deliverables including High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), and knowledge transfer documentation.

• Lead customer sessions with thorough preparation — ready for demonstrations, context-aware, and capable of real-time adaptation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in professional services, systems integration, technical consulting, or related fields.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar technical discipline — or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Strong foundation in computer science principles — including data structures, algorithms, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, routing), and Linux systems.

• Practical experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and common integration protocols (e.g., NETCONF, RESTCONF, gRPC) — along with familiarity with event-driven platforms such as Kafka, message queues, or similar technologies.

• Proficient in Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) for the purpose of building, testing, and deploying automation code.

• Background in customer-facing roles that demand quick thinking and adaptability in real-time scenarios.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills — capable of clearly articulating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Comfort working in dynamic environments with multiple concurrent projects.
