This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Lead technical discovery sessions, demonstrations, and validation processes to illustrate how GitLab's AI-driven DevSecOps platform fulfills customers' technical and business requirements throughout the entire lifecycle.
• Take charge of the technical evaluation process as the accountable individual, including solution design, ownership of POCs/POVs, workshop creation, and the technical aspects of tenders, audits, and value stream assessments.
• Work collaboratively with Account Executives and regional sales teams throughout Central EMEA to develop and implement account strategies that foster new customer acquisition and growth.
• Establish and strengthen connections with technical practitioners and business leaders, guiding them through GitLab-led transformations and empowering them to become advocates for GitLab.
• Offer guidance to customers on contemporary software development, continuous integration, continuous deployment, security, and cloud methodologies, challenging existing practices to enhance return on investment.
• Act as the voice of the customer within Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing by relaying feedback, use cases, and competitive insights that shape the roadmap and positioning.
• Keep up-to-date and expand your technical knowledge in GitLab, DevSecOps, AI, and associated cloud technologies, creating reusable examples, best practice recommendations, and technical resources for customers and partners.
• Commit to your personal growth and development through continuous learning, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to enhance the efficacy of the Solutions Architect team.
• Over 5 years of experience interacting with customers in technical pre-sales, consulting, or related roles, guiding them through solution design and assessment.
• Expertise in the complete software development lifecycle, encompassing modern DevSecOps practices and workflows for continuous integration and continuous deployment.
• Practical knowledge of GitLab or similar source control, CI/CD, and collaboration platforms, with the ability to align platform capabilities with customer use cases.
• Understanding of cloud computing principles and related technologies, with the capability to discuss deployment, security, and operational options with technical teams.
• Proven ability to lead technical evaluations such as proofs of concept or proofs of value, contribute to tenders or audits, and design and facilitate workshops or value stream assessments.
• Strong technical communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messages for audiences ranging from practitioners to senior business and technical decision-makers.
• Proficient in building trusted relationships, listening empathetically, and representing customer interests to internal teams, including Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.
• A strong drive for continuous professional development, including acquiring new technologies, deepening expertise in the GitLab platform, and leveraging transferable experience from related fields.
