Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia.

📋 Description

• Facilitate technical discovery sessions to collect mission, operational, and compliance requirements.

• Design secure enterprise solutions encompassing compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and cybersecurity domains.

• Create Bills of Materials (BOMs), architectural diagrams, and rack elevations (using Visio or an equivalent tool).

• Lead and support technical submissions for RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs related to Navy programs.

• Deliver presentations of solutions to Navy clients, integrators, and executive stakeholders.

• Collaborate closely with OEM technical teams and distribution engineering resources.

• Ensure that solutions comply with DoD cybersecurity standards (RMF, STIGs, NIST 800-53, etc.).

• Maintain necessary OEM certifications and technical specializations.

• Assist in the development of account strategies alongside Sales leadership.

• Identify opportunities for modernization within current Navy environments.

• Perform other assigned duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• A BS/BA in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution is mandatory.

• At least 5 years of experience in a Systems Architecture and Engineering or technical capacity on projects and programs for Government or Industry clients.

• Proven experience supporting Navy or other DoD initiatives.

• Strong comprehension of U.S. Government procurement procedures.

• Experience in architecting solutions involving: Enterprise servers and storage, Hypervisors (VMware ESXi, KVM, Hyper-V), Windows Server and Linux environments, TCP/IP networking and switching infrastructure, Backup, archiving, and business continuity solutions, Cybersecurity controls and compliance frameworks.

• Familiarity with vendor configuration tools and producing formal technical documentation.

• Excellent presentation and executive communication abilities.

• Active Secret clearance preferred; must be eligible to obtain and maintain required clearance.
