This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.
• Lead the technical discovery process to identify customer pain points, requirements, and key business objectives, aligning Akuity's solutions to meet their needs.
• Create and present impactful presentations, architecture walkthroughs, and live demonstrations that highlight Akuity's platform and GitOps best practices.
• Provide exceptional technical support to both open-source users and enterprise customers through various channels including chat, GitHub, forums, and calls.
• Diagnose and resolve complex customer issues related to Kubernetes, Argo CD, and the Akuity Platform, escalating to the product engineering team when necessary.
• Identify recurring patterns in customer issues and proactively enhance our support playbook, documentation, and internal knowledge base.
• Develop tools, integrations, and automation that enhance the customer experience and expand the capabilities of the Akuity Platform.
• Work closely with Engineering, Product, and Sales teams to relay customer feedback and influence the product roadmap.
• Represent Akuity at conferences, webinars, and community events, sharing your expertise and promoting the adoption of Argo.
• Over 3 years of experience operating at the intersection of development and operations.
• Extensive hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, including configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of production-grade clusters across various cloud providers (AWS/EKS, GCP/GKE, Azure/AKS) and/or on-premises.
• Significant professional experience with Argo CD, including familiarity with typical patterns such as ApplicationSets, multi-cluster management, and advanced configuration.
• Proficiency in software engineering: comfortable coding in languages such as Go, Rust, Java, Python, or TypeScript; capable of contributing substantial PRs to open-source projects within the cloud-native ecosystem and developing or enhancing integrations or tools.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps principles and patterns.
• Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to both engineers and business stakeholders clearly and confidently.
• A customer-focused mindset with a proven ability to build trusted advisor relationships at the enterprise level.
• A proactive and systems-thinking approach, seeking root causes, anticipating issues, and designing scalable solutions.
• Experience in a dynamic environment; comfortable with ambiguity and capable of managing multiple competing priorities.
