Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design and architect solutions tailored to client needs.

• Facilitate in-depth technical discovery workshops to grasp clients' business models, requirements, constraints, and success metrics.

• Create comprehensive e-commerce architectures, encompassing core platform setup, integrations, custom enhancements, and third-party technologies.

• Establish architectural patterns, data flows, and integration strategies while considering best practices for scalability, performance, and security.

• Assess the trade-offs between custom development and the platform’s built-in features.

• Provide implementation assistance.

• Act as the main technical liaison throughout the implementation phase, offering support to partners during development, integrations, and launch events.

• Collaborate closely with the Sales team on go-to-market strategies, project scoping, effort estimation, and risk evaluations.

• Clearly communicate technical concepts, assumptions, and limitations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders at the management level.

• Assist with proofs of concept (PoCs) and technical validations as required.

• Partner and delivery team collaboration.

• Work in tandem with agencies and system integration partners (SI partners) to validate delivery strategies and ensure architectural coherence.

• Review solution designs and implementation plans from partners for adherence to platform standards and best practices.

• Offer support during the onboarding process and in the early stages of projects to ensure successful customer launches.

• Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks early in the project lifecycle.

• Expertise in platform and ecosystem.

• Develop and maintain a profound understanding of the e-commerce platform, its product roadmap, and relevant ecosystem technologies.

• Continuously track market trends, emerging technologies, and evolving architectural patterns.

• Communicate customer and partner feedback to product and engineering teams to foster ongoing platform enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 7 years of professional experience in e-commerce architecture, solution consulting, or a similar technical position.

• Proficient in both German and English languages.

• Extensive knowledge of modern e-commerce architectures and common integration patterns.

• Experience in designing solutions that integrate payment, ERP, PIM, CMS, search, and marketing technologies.

• Capability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong collaboration abilities with sales, delivery, and partner management teams.

• Particularly beneficial: experience with leading e-commerce platforms.

• Background in a partner-driven or agency-centric delivery environment.

• Experience supporting enterprise customers or clients in the upper mid-market segment.
