This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Assist in identifying and evaluating the technical specifications for the Duck Creek application, which encompasses security, integration, performance, quality, and operational requirements.
• Create and configure tailored software products and systems to fulfill client needs.
• Develop and support unique customizations to the core asset software, including conversions, interfaces, enhancements, and modifications to the user interface.
• Actively engage in Discovery/inception sessions and document high-level requirements.
• Oversee the complete software development lifecycle from analysis through design, implementation, quality assurance, delivery, and maintenance.
• Generate custom solutions utilizing .Net (C#), SQL Server, and microservices on the Azure platform.
• Design and create custom APIs and microservices.
• Utilize AI tools and agents for the design and development of bespoke .Net code and microservices.
• Collaborate closely with other engineers and the Technical Architect to ensure that architectural components interact effectively to meet requirements and achieve performance objectives.
• Develop application prototypes and carry out conference room pilots to assess solution alternatives.
• Tailor products to meet customer specifications, which may involve customized user interfaces and integration with third-party software.
• Participate in quality management reviews as specified in the Quality Management practice to ensure compliance with all quality management plans and standards.
• Complete technical designs that align with the technical specifications, adhering to applicable design standards while ensuring that those designs are functionally and technically sound and compatible with other system components.
• Acquire and share knowledge of the Duck Creek product suite and its technical elements.
• Execute other related tasks and responsibilities as necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher, or a foreign equivalent, in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 8 years of relevant professional experience, or a master’s degree plus a minimum of 3 years of related professional experience.
• Proven professional experience with C#, SQL, Visual Studio, Microsoft Foundation technologies, Windows Server 2003/2008 administration and configuration, JavaScript, XSLT, XML, HTML, CSS, and AJAX.
• Documented professional experience with .Net solutions and SQL relational database design.
• Familiarity with XML and XSL.
• Knowledge or experience with P&C Insurance software applications.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle specific to P&C insurance software is a plus.
• Experience with systems integration (Policy, Billing, Claims, Reinsurance, third-party systems).
• Experience with implementing Duck Creek Example Platform solutions for Policy Administration, Billing, and/or ASW Claims is a plus.
