This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Spearhead the software development strategy, guiding technical decisions and architectural direction.
• Uphold standards and best practices, ensuring ongoing engineering enhancements.
• Assess teams' technical maturity, fostering a culture of learning and quality.
• Address complex challenges, streamlining the daily operations of development teams.
• Act as a technical advisor and collaborator in decision-making processes.
• Monitor and advance engineering metrics, encouraging transparency and continuous improvement.
• Work collaboratively on the design and development of solutions centered on security, performance, and observability.
• Assist in production product operations, guaranteeing scalability, resilience, and consistency.
• Maintain service health through monitoring, alerts, incident management, and participation in war rooms.
• Continuously refine the technical roadmap, suggesting enhancements and innovative approaches.
• Background in both backend and frontend development.
• Advanced expertise with Apache Kafka, including architecture, tuning, and high availability.
• Proficient in JVM languages such as Java, Kotlin, or Scala, along with optimization and performance practices.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), CQRS, and Event Sourcing.
• Experience in distributed systems, with skills in troubleshooting, log analysis, tracing, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases, including query optimization and caching strategies.
• Extensive experience in microservices architecture, CI/CD, observability, and service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio/Linkerd).
• Capable of guiding technical decisions and architectural direction that aligns with business objectives.
• Fixed 14th and 15th salaries.
