Software Engineer III – Front End/Back End

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• The Software Engineer III - Front End/ Back End (predominantly back end) acts as a developing individual contributor within a team, enhancing your leadership, guidance, and mentoring capabilities.

• Under the support and direction of leadership, you will be accountable for achieving objectives related to scope, schedule, and delivery.

• You will engage with stakeholders and employ influential skills to foster enhancements in software engineering processes and practices.

• You will estimate and execute development tasks such as coding, requirements gathering, and analysis with minimal feedback and guidance from your team.

• You will hone your technical and communication skills to deepen context knowledge and mentor junior developers.

• You will evaluate and troubleshoot issues within the systems you manage, prioritizing problem areas based on their alignment with other practice areas.

• Participation in on-call rotations with your team will be necessary as required.

• You will present on and document your work for both internal and external audiences.

• Engagement in planning sessions to enhance understanding of key architectures and design patterns is expected.

• You will aid in recruitment efforts by reviewing homework assignments and potentially assisting with interviews.

• You will utilize influential skills to promote improvements in team engineering processes and practices.

• A thorough understanding of the business, how practices interconnect, and the customer problems we are addressing is essential.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree along with 8+ years of engineering experience.

• Must be a US Citizen.

• Required to have lived in the United States for three or more years within the last five years.

• Must undergo a background investigation to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.

• Proficiency in the following technology stacks: JAVA, Microsoft VB.NET (MS Framework 4.0), C, C# (MS Framework 4.0), C++, Crystal Reports, Oracle, MS-SQL, Tomcat 8.

• Experience working within an Agile Scrum environment.
