This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Working alongside your team’s tech lead and manager, you will decompose larger projects into individual tasks, deliver them in several phases, and collaborate with others to guarantee the timely completion of your work.
• You will assist your colleagues and stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle by collaborating across engineering, articulating technical limitations, and partnering on decisions that appropriately weigh risks and trade-offs.
• You will contribute to the operations and availability of your team’s artifacts by establishing and monitoring metrics, escalating issues as necessary, and supporting ongoing maintenance and on-call efforts.
• You will foster a sense of community within your team by participating in growth and development activities, such as engaging in the interview process.
• You possess 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• You have experience in designing, developing, and launching backend systems, and you are proficient in either Python or Kotlin.
• You are knowledgeable about the foundational elements of distributed systems, along with technologies like AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• You have excelled in transforming a simple problem or business scenario into a solution that interacts with multiple software components, executing it by writing clear, easily understandable, well-tested, and extensible code.
• You are adept at navigating a large codebase, troubleshooting others' code, and providing constructive feedback to fellow engineers through code reviews.
• Your experience illustrates your commitment to your growth, as you proactively seek feedback from your team, manager, and stakeholders.
• You possess strong verbal and written communication skills that facilitate effective collaboration with our global engineering team.
• This position requires either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
