Software Engineer, Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +40 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop secure, accurate, efficient, clear, and maintainable “production-ready” code that aligns with internal standards and adheres to industry best practices.

• Improve and expand our current products, including device management, microservices, and WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) applications, to provide seamless customer experiences.

• Design and create APIs that connect with both internal and external services, enhancing overall system functionality.

• Clarify and convey engineering requirements for new products, features, quality enhancements, or design modifications.

• Monitor progress, update stakeholders, and communicate with colleagues and the wider team through stand-ups and regular work item updates.

• Apply industry-standard security protocols to protect both customer and internal data.

• Conduct comprehensive testing of code, engage in code reviews, and proactively address bugs and performance issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional development experience in C#.

• Proficiency with ASP.NET Core microservices and/or desktop applications (WPF or similar).

• Extensive experience in API Development, especially with RESTful APIs.

• Familiarity with MongoDB or comparable NoSQL databases.

• Knowledge of security practices in software development, including secure coding, encryption, and data protection.

• Strong grasp of object-oriented programming (OOP) and design patterns.

• Expertise in Git for version control and collaborative development.
