Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take the lead in optimizing stored procedures to enhance performance on transactional databases.

• Evaluate and manage the complexity of data models, including a thorough understanding of both current and historical states of our data architecture.

• Enhance performance and scalability for extensive hybrid database infrastructures, including SaaS and on-premises database ecosystems.

• Organize, triage, and prioritize incoming database development tasks and issues to guarantee timely and effective resolutions.

• Initiate training and documentation efforts to facilitate smooth onboarding and knowledge transfer among teams.

• Collaborate with various teams—including Program Managers, Technical Leads, Platform Teams, and Data Architecture & Engineering—to design, build, scale, and support cloud-based analytics and data platforms.

• Automate routine tasks using custom scripts and open-source tools to enhance operational efficiency.

• Engage in Agile/Scrum product development cycles, contributing to the design, coding, testing, and deployment phases.

• Support ETL pipelines to maintain high performance and scalability across intricate data models.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in database/data engineering, demonstrating success in large-scale data environments.

• Established track record in designing and architecting transactional databases within both IaaS and PaaS environments.

• Expertise in SQL Server, including advanced stored procedure development and optimization.

• Proficiency in C# and scripting languages such as PowerShell or other scripting languages is highly desirable.

• Experience in data warehouses (DWH), ETL pipelines, and BI solutions in both IaaS and PaaS environments is advantageous.

• Strong analytical and organizational abilities, capable of triaging, prioritizing, and managing complex tasks effectively.

• In-depth understanding of VEHR systems; prior experience is highly preferred.
