Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Create applications utilizing Inductive Automation’s Ignition software.

• Design and execute software solutions outside of Ignition for industrial automation, data systems integration, IIOT, and automated testing projects.

• Engage in application development using .Net, specialized interface and driver development across various programming languages, embedded system creation, database development, and highly specialized test system development.

• Develop advanced vision systems.

• Create internal tools, such as specialized CASE tools, utilized by our robotics and PLC programming teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, demonstrating a clear focus or interest in software engineering.

• An associate degree combined with substantial relevant experience is also acceptable.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in developing Ignition applications is mandatory.

• Willingness to travel, both within the country and internationally.

• Proficiency in .NET programming for desktop applications, web applications, and database interfaces.

• Expertise in database design and SQL programming, including SQL Server and similar technologies.

• Knowledge of Machine Learning and other AI technologies, including custom AI programming.

• Experience with Machine Vision technologies such as Halcon, Cognex VisionPro, Keyence, Matrox MIL, NI, etc.

• Familiarity with Lab/Test Automation tools like National Instruments LabView, including low-level and embedded programming.

• Skills in HMI/SCADA programming, including FTView ME/SE, WinCC, Aveva, and others.
