Software Engineer, Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain analytical applications using Python to support reporting, planning, and decision-making processes.

• Construct and manage data pipelines and workflows, encompassing ingestion, transformation, validation, and integration.

• Develop and refine SQL queries, database schemas, and data access patterns to enhance performance and scalability.

• Create dashboards, visualizations, and analytical interfaces for users to facilitate data exploration and insight generation.

• Convert complex analytical requirements into scalable and maintainable software solutions.

• Apply best practices in software development, such as version control, testing, and conducting code reviews.

• Assist with application lifecycle management, including enhancements, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to establish requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

• Ensure secure development practices and appropriate handling of data and application dependencies.

• Document application architecture, workflows, and operational procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering or application development.

• Proficient in Python development.

• Proven experience in building data-driven or analytical applications, including dashboards and interactive tools.

• Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases.

• Familiarity with data pipelines and processing workflows.

• Knowledge of application architecture and design principles.

• Experience with modern frameworks and tools (e.g., Flask, FastAPI, Dash, Streamlit, or similar).

• Understanding of version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
