Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Develop and Maintain Software Applications: Design, code, test, debug, and document software applications utilizing the .NET framework, cloud technologies, and related tools. Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. Collaborate with the team to conceptualize, design, and implement new features.

• Collaboration and Support: Partner with project leaders, product owners, and developers to comprehend business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements for existing systems. Assist end-users by troubleshooting and resolving issues.

• Continuous Improvement: Keep abreast of the latest technology trends and best practices in .NET development. Regularly enhance the codebase, address bugs, and optimize performance. Engage in code reviews to uphold code quality and share knowledge within the team.

• Testing and Documentation: Create and uphold thorough documentation for software solutions. Develop and execute unit and functional tests to guarantee code quality. Participate in defining test scenarios and in testing the developed functionalities.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in commercial software development.

• Strong expertise in .NET Framework/Core, C#, WPF, ASP.NET, Core, Entity Framework, MVVM, DI/IoC, and SQL.

• Proficient in Test Driven Development, including unit, integration, and acceptance testing.

• Experience with Microservices, distributed architecture, event buses, and message queues.

• Solid understanding of client-server architecture, asynchronous programming, REST API, and application logging.

• Familiarity with SQL (Postgres) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).

• Excellent communication, collaboration, detail-oriented, and analytical skills.

• **Desirable skills:** Knowledge and experience in Maritime or GIS.
