Software Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Define and enhance architectural solutions that boost system performance, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.

• Design and improve frameworks, tools, and engineering standards that promote system resilience and long-term maintainability.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Infrastructure, and Platform teams to integrate sound architectural principles into planning, design, and execution.

• Actively contribute to critical initiatives, including prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and production systems that illustrate scalable and maintainable design.

• Mentor teams in implementing robust distributed system patterns, ensuring fault tolerance, observability, and operational maturity are incorporated from the outset.

• Offer insightful design reviews and technical direction that elevate engineering quality and consistency.

• Work with engineering leaders to align architectural choices with business objectives and the long-term platform strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Extensive knowledge of messaging and streaming systems; hands-on expertise with .NET and Kafka is highly advantageous.

• Demonstrated understanding of push-based microservices architecture, including containerization and orchestration techniques.

• Strong proficiency in scalable design patterns, performance optimization, reliability engineering, and contemporary cloud-based architectures.

• Familiarity with modern development methodologies, including continuous integration and delivery, infrastructure as code, and observability tools.

• Experience in collaborating across teams to execute cross-functional technical projects aimed at enhancing system stability, scalability, or efficiency.

• Clear and structured communication skills with the capability to document architectural decisions and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• A strong passion for mentoring engineers, providing constructive design feedback, and continuously enhancing engineering standards.
