This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and promote a comprehensive social media strategy across multiple platforms for each of the three gardening brands, ensuring alignment with editorial calendars, seasonal highlights, and business objectives — proposing ideas for team assessment and collaborative enhancement.

• Assist in the development and management of social content production calendars for every brand in collaboration with internal team members, highlighting deadlines, review cycles, and publishing timelines.

• Present campaign ideas, content series, and platform-specific strategies to the Executive Digital Editor and brand editors, actively seeking feedback and integrating it into the process.

• Recognize and react to emerging social media trends, changes in platform algorithms, and audience behavior insights to consistently refine strategy.

• Outline content pillars, formats, and messaging frameworks for each brand to guarantee a unique and cohesive social presence.

• Establish a posting schedule in line with platform norms and audience expectations, and create systems utilizing platform-native tools, third-party schedulers, and AI assistants to achieve social output targets.

• Identify, brief, and collaborate with freelance creatives — including graphic designers and multimedia contributors — acting similarly to a senior editor working with contributing authors: defining direction, reviewing contributions, and ensuring alignment with brand standards.

• Compose clear and comprehensive creative briefs for all contracted talent, articulating brand voice, visual standards, deliverable specifications, and deadlines.

• Oversee content throughout the production lifecycle — from concept and briefing to scheduling, review, revision, and final approval — ensuring quality and brand alignment at every phase, in close partnership with internal editors and brand leads.

• Ensure that all content — whether generated by you, internal team members, or external contributors — embodies each brand's established voice, visual identity, and editorial standards, ready for submission through the editorial approval process.

• Collaborate with editors and the print team to adapt and transform editorial content into engaging social formats across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.

• Track content performance across platforms and leverage data insights to guide future production decisions and strategic adjustments.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in social media strategy, content production, or a related digital media position — with proven experience coordinating with or managing external creative talent.

• Proven ability to contribute to high-quality social content for multiple brands concurrently, with a robust understanding of strategy and platform-specific storytelling.

• Strong skills in creative brief writing; experience providing clear guidance to designers and other creative contributors to produce on-brand content without micromanaging.

• In-depth knowledge of major social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Facebook, LinkedIn, Threads) and their respective content formats and best practices.

• Comfort in navigating multi-stakeholder content workflows, including collaborative review processes, editorial approval chains, and cross-functional teams.

• Proficiency in social media management and scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Later, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite).

• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Trello, Monday.com) for coordinating production schedules, managing freelancers, and tracking deliverables.

• Analytical mindset with experience leveraging platform analytics and reporting tools to inform content strategy.

• Excellent written communication abilities with a strong understanding of brand voice and audience-specific messaging.

• Adaptability to operate in a fast-paced, multi-brand editorial environment with changing priorities.

🏝️ Benefits

• Opportunity to work with leading gardening brands.

• Collaborative and supportive work environment.

• Professional development and growth opportunities.

• Flexible working arrangements.
