SMT Technical Support Engineer – Solder

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Providing support and promoting soldering products across various manufacturing processes, including SMT, wave, and selective soldering lines.

• Working closely with sales teams during customer evaluations.

• Quickly addressing technical support requests and offering assistance either on-site or remotely through digital communication tools.

• Delivering customized support that ranges from troubleshooting and process optimization to training engineers and operators.

• Compiling reports and documenting activities within CRM systems.

• Presenting evaluation analyses.

• Recognizing product trends and relaying customer feedback to management.

• Sustaining strong client relationships and supporting beta-testing sites.

• Contributing to product development initiatives within the application lab.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 4-5 years of experience as a process engineer or in a comparable role within the electronics manufacturing assembly industry.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

• Proficiency in English is essential.

• Relevant experience with a Multinational Corporation (MNC) operating electronic assembly lines for an EMS provider or OEM.

• Extensive knowledge of solder paste characteristics, behaviors, and application techniques.

• Strong skills in stencil design, screen printing processes, and printer equipment.

• Thorough understanding of reflow soldering processes and profile optimization.

• Proven experience with wave soldering processes and related troubleshooting.

• Competence in using quality tools and statistical process control methods.

• Demonstrated ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve process-related challenges.
