Site Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• You will take charge of ensuring reliability across our Azure-based cloud platform — and the approach to achieving this is evolving.

• We anticipate our Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) to leverage AI tools to enhance efficiency: facilitating quicker root cause analysis, implementing intelligent alerting, automating runbooks, and enabling predictive scaling.

• You will conduct in-depth investigations of production issues, develop sustainable automation solutions, and collaborate closely with engineering teams to deploy and maintain resilient services at scale — particularly for regulated, compliance-sensitive clients who cannot afford unexpected challenges.

• Additionally, you will participate in our on-call rotation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Azure while managing production workloads.

• Proficient in writing automation scripts, not just understanding existing ones. You instinctively seek automation solutions.

• A reliability-focused mindset — you prioritize understanding the reasons behind issues, not just addressing them.

• Familiarity with using AI tools within an operations or SRE environment (personal projects are also relevant).

• Knowledge of Azure DevOps pipelines.

• Experience with SQL Server or Postgres in a production setting.

• Background in Windows/IIS, which is part of our environment, though not the entirety of it.
