This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• You will create an advanced localization product utilizing a learned map architecture.
• Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing visual and acoustic sensor systems for detecting drones.
• You will be tasked with developing a multi-sensor perception and fusion system for an early-warning drone detection system.
• You will execute machine learning and AI models directly on local sensors instead of relying on cloud servers.
• Your role includes designing, constructing, and maintaining scalable models, bringing model inference directly to drone detection devices.
• You will implement scalable, low-latency intelligence solutions.
• In collaboration with the ML, MLOps, and DevOps teams, you will facilitate rapid and secure deployments.
• You will oversee system monitoring, troubleshoot problems, and continuously enhance observability.
• If desired, you may support on-site operations, gather sensor data, and validate technology during controlled field trials.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT (e.g., engineering).
• At least 2 years of full-time experience as a Fusion Engineer, preferably with a focus on acoustics.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience within the IoT domain.
• Proficient in Python and knowledgeable about relevant frameworks.
• Strong experience working within the Embedded Linux ecosystem.
• Initial experience with cloud platforms is required.
• Must have worked for at least 2 consecutive years with the same employer.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Comfortable engaging with the defense sector.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic startup/scaleup environment.
• Ideally, experienced with fleet data, Bash, Golang, C/C++, MLOps, and DevOps.
• Ideally willing to travel 2–3 days each quarter for field trials.
