This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota.
• Designs, configures, and optimizes Blue Yonder WMS solutions to enhance operational efficiency and enable warehouse scalability.
• Engages in hands-on technical development, including code reviews, debugging, and system enhancements that align with approved solution designs.
• Assists with warehouse layout, zones, locations, workflows, and strategies to ensure precise inventory management and improved material flow.
• Diagnoses operational and system issues utilizing Trace files, MOCA, SQL, and other technical tools.
• Develops and maintains integrations between Blue Yonder WMS and enterprise systems such as ERP, TMS, carrier platforms, and warehouse robotics.
• Participates in data conversion and migration tasks, which include mapping, validation, and reconciliation.
• Collaborates with BOR Specialists, analysts, and quality assurance teams to facilitate unit testing, integration testing, UAT, and cutover processes.
• Provides support during go-live, hyper care, and post-deployment stabilization to ensure seamless transitions for warehouse teams.
• Works together with business analysts, warehouse leaders, and external partners to convert operational requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Creates and maintains technical documentation, configuration artifacts, and support resources.
• Offers technical guidance and knowledge sharing to enhance internal Blue Yonder WMS capabilities.
• Retains a comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations and WMS processes, encompassing receiving, putaway, inventory management, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, and exception handling.
• Ensures that system designs and configurations are consistent with operational standards, safety regulations, and long-term sustainability objectives.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering discipline, or equivalent work experience is required.
• At least 5 years of practical experience as a Blue Yonder WMS Technical Architect, covering configuration, development, troubleshooting, and integrations.
• Proficiency in APIs, HTTP requests (e.g., GET, POST, etc.), JSON/XML formats, Web Services, Java (J2SE/J2SEE standards), and Postman is required.
• A solid understanding of programming fundamentals (compiling and debugging, PowerShell, Python, SQL/PLSQL, Snowflake, MOCA, Oracle) and the ability to write complex SQL queries (using SQL*Plus, SQL Developer, TOAD) is necessary.
• Capability to read and interpret Trace files is required.
• Hands-on experience with Blue Yonder WMS (JDA/Blue Yonder SCE), including the Cloud Version BY 2024 and/or Cognitive Version in the cloud, is essential.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and WMS processes (receiving and putaway, inventory management & cycle counting, replenishment strategies, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management exceptions) is required.
• Experience working with system integrators, implementation partners, Jira, and practical experience with integration tools is preferred.
• Knowledge of the BY Platform and BYDM is preferred.
• Experience in supporting large-scale WMS implementations or multi-site rollouts is preferred.
• Familiarity with wholesale distribution, high-volume fulfillment, or automated warehouse environments is preferred.
• Exposure to advanced warehouse technologies (e.g., conveyor systems, ASRS technologies such as AutoStore, Robots, and/or Locus Bots) is preferred.
