This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create, customize, and oversee professional business websites.
• Develop responsive websites that are optimized for desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.
• Utilize WordPress and contemporary website development platforms.
• Implement website features such as contact forms, lead capture systems, calls-to-action, and various integrations.
• Enhance website speed, performance, and user experience.
• Diagnose and resolve website issues in a timely manner.
• Administer and maintain AWS hosting environments, specifically AWS Lightsail.
• Set up and manage DNS records, Route 53, SSL certificates, backups, and snapshots.
• Monitor website uptime and server performance regularly.
• Provide support for Linux-based hosting environments, including Apache, Nginx, and database management.
• Apply best practices for website and server security.
• Prevent and address malware infections and hacking attempts.
• Oversee backups, disaster recovery procedures, and security hardening measures.
• Proven experience in building and managing professional websites.
• Advanced proficiency with WordPress.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
• Knowledge of Laravel and modern PHP development frameworks.
• Deep understanding of responsive design and UX best practices.
• Experience in optimizing website speed and overall performance.
• Skilled in managing AWS LightSail, Ubuntu Linux servers, WordPress migrations, manual installations, SSL certificates, backups, and server hardening.
• Experience in transitioning websites from BitNami-based environments is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of DNS management, SSL certificates, backups, and server security practices.
• Familiarity with Linux servers, Apache, Nginx, and database management.
• Competence in Ubuntu Linux administration and SSH access.
• Experience in website security, malware prevention, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Capability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
