Senior Web Developer – Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete migration of the CMS from HubSpot to Sanity + Next.js, encompassing content modeling, schema design, content transfer, URL preservation, redirects, and seamless SEO continuity.

• Create and establish an extensive library of reusable, design-approved components in partnership with the Brand team, empowering the Marketing team to publish pages independently post-migration.

• Incorporate HubSpot CRM (including forms, lead capture, and tracking) alongside GA4 analytics into the new architecture, ensuring Sales and Marketing retain their essential tools.

• Configure the Claude Code + Sanity MCP integration, set up access and permissions, and provide training for the Marketing and Brand teams to manage the website using natural language commands directed to Claude.

• Execute technical SEO and AIO optimization through schema markup, structured data, enhancements of Core Web Vitals, and content structures that are tailored for AI-driven discovery.

• Oversee the foundational website infrastructure, which includes CI/CD pipelines, staging environments, hosting (Vercel or similar), and monitoring to guarantee reliability and rapid iteration cycles.

• Develop interactive components as required (such as live stats dashboards, embedded tools, and custom landing page experiences) that embody OpenZeppelin's identity as a forefront technology and security organization.

• Thoroughly document architecture, workflows, and team-oriented processes to ensure OpenZeppelin achieves true self-sufficiency by the conclusion of the engagement.

• Address ongoing website requests (such as new pages, bug fixes, and integrations) throughout the engagement period.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional web development experience, with a strong emphasis on frontend technologies (TypeScript, React, Next.js).

• Demonstrated expertise with Sanity, having developed and launched multiple production websites utilizing Sanity, including schema design, custom Studio components, and GROQ queries.

• Experience leading at least one intricate CMS migration from start to finish, preferably from HubSpot, WordPress, or another monolithic CMS to a modern headless stack, with knowledge of preserving SEO rankings, managing redirects, and executing clean content migration.

• Strong grasp of technical SEO, Core Web Vitals, and contemporary web performance optimization.

• Proficiency with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and modern deployment platforms (Vercel, Netlify, or similar).

• Experience in integrating HubSpot forms and tracking with a Next.js frontend.

• Keen design sensibility and meticulous attention to detail when converting mockups into responsive, production-ready code.

• Native or fluent English proficiency, as daily interactions will involve non-technical stakeholders, necessitating the ability to convey technical decisions in straightforward terms.

• Ability to work autonomously at a senior level; you will be the sole developer on this project and must independently drive it forward.

• Deeply integrated AI-native workflow: you utilize Claude Code (or a similar AI coding tool) regularly, seamlessly embedded into your development process. You can articulate how AI enhances your work and where you choose to override it. You are enthusiastic about creating AI-first content workflows that empower non-technical teams.
