This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• About the Company: Our client is a rapidly expanding video marketing agency based in the UK, specializing in high-volume paid advertising content.
• The agency provides businesses with performance-driven video content across various platforms, including Meta, Google, and YouTube. With a robust referral pipeline and growing client demand, they are in search of an exceptionally skilled creative production professional to enhance their content delivery capacity.
• The Role: This is not your typical video editing position.
• We are looking for a senior-level video editor and creative production expert capable of managing the entire content workflow—from receiving raw footage to delivering finalized advertising assets.
• The chosen candidate will oversee an efficient, high-volume content pipeline while upholding strong creative and technical standards. You should feel confident making creative decisions within an established brief without needing constant supervision or micromanagement.
• This role presents a clear path for advancement, with the successful individual expected to eventually lead and manage a team of additional video editors.
• Key Responsibilities:
• - Oversee the entire production workflow from raw footage intake to final client-approved delivery.
• - Edit a high volume of paid advertising content, typically producing between 20 and 50 creative assets from each shoot.
• - Deliver finished content within a turnaround timeframe of approximately seven to ten days.
• - Make confident creative and technical decisions while adhering to the client brief and brand guidelines.
• - Manage review, amendment, and approval cycles using Frame.io.
• - Accurately interpret timestamped client feedback and implement changes efficiently.
• - Organize, manage, and archive footage and completed assets within Google Drive.
• - Review and enhance standard operating procedures, editing processes, and production workflows.
• - Identify opportunities to boost production capacity and reduce turnaround times.
• - Utilize artificial intelligence tools for auto-clipping, transcription, content organization, and batch processing.
• - Ensure consistency across various formats, platforms, campaigns, and client accounts.
• - Work with footage captured on a range of equipment, from smartphones to professional camera systems.
• - Provide recommendations for shoot-day capture requirements to streamline the editing process.
• - Assist in the recruitment, training, and management of junior editors as the production team expands.
• Essential Requirements:
• - Strong professional video editing experience within a creative agency, advertising agency, or production house.
• - Proven experience in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment.
• - Demonstrable experience editing paid advertising content, rather than primarily long-form, documentary, or narrative content.
• - Experience producing multiple variations of advertising assets from a single shoot.
• - Ability to manage approximately 20 to 50 creative assets within a seven-to-ten-day turnaround period.
• - Strong understanding of performance-focused content for platforms like Meta, Google, and YouTube.
• - Proficiency in using Frame.io for reviews, amendments, timestamped feedback, and approvals.
• - Strong skills in Google Drive file management and content archiving.
• - Experience with artificial intelligence tools that enhance editing and production efficiency.
• - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects, deadlines, and client needs.
• - A systems-focused mindset, understanding that an efficient production pipeline is key to successful delivery.
• - Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and take initiative without waiting for detailed instructions.
• - Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain quality across a large volume of content.
• - Comfortable working with footage of varying quality, from smartphone recordings to high-end professional equipment.
• - Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote working environment in South Africa.
• Advantageous Experience:
• - Previous experience managing, mentoring, or quality-checking the work of junior video editors.
• - Experience in a performance marketing or paid social agency.
• - Knowledge of Meta Ads, Google Ads, and YouTube advertising formats.
• - Experience using Notion to manage production workflows, briefs, tasks, or standard operating procedures.
• - Experience in designing or enhancing workflow automations.
• - Ability to advise production teams on optimal footage capture techniques to improve editing efficiency.
• - Understanding of platform-specific video requirements, including aspect ratios, hooks, captions, pacing, and creative variations.
• - Experience managing creative testing variations for paid advertising campaigns.
• Career Progression: As the agency continues to expand, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to advance into a creative production leadership role.
• This may include:
• - Managing additional video editors.
• - Allocating and reviewing editing tasks.
• - Upholding quality control standards.
• - Training junior team members.
• - Enhancing production processes and automations.
• - Increasing the agency’s overall creative delivery capacity.
