Senior UI Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain user interface systems and features that enhance gameplay, menus, HUDs, inventories, progression, social interactions, and other player-centric experiences.

• Work in close collaboration with UI/UX, design, art, and engineering teams to effectively convert interface objectives into dependable technical solutions.

• Create scalable and maintainable UI architecture that accommodates long-term feature expansion and iteration.

• Implement refined, responsive, and user-friendly interface behaviors within the engine.

• Facilitate data-driven UI workflows (e.g., MVVM) and ensure integration with gameplay systems.

• Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance UI systems for improved performance, usability, and stability.

• Assist in identifying technical risks, dependencies, and implementation trade-offs early in the development process.

• Contribute to engineering standards, code quality, and sustainable development practices throughout UI systems.

• Support iterative development by addressing playtest feedback, bugs, and evolving feature requirements over time.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in professional game development.

• Proven experience in creating UI systems or player-facing features in released games.

• Proficient in C++.

• Strong grasp of UI architecture, usability, and systems design principles.

• Experience in developing maintainable, scalable, and high-performance UI code.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate closely with UI/UX designers for implementing interface features.

• Excellent debugging, profiling, and problem-solving abilities.

• Familiarity with contemporary game engines and UI implementation workflows.

• Strong communication skills and capability to work effectively across various disciplines in a remote setting.

• Experience in supporting controller, keyboard/mouse, and multi-input UI experiences.
