This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Bridge the divide between outdated complexities and contemporary design.
• Serve as the definitive reference for our system architecture.
• Analyze and deconstruct legacy logic while establishing clear domain boundaries.
• Create integration patterns that enable scalability within the product ecosystem.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to assess the technical feasibility, completeness, and architectural consistency of requirements.
• Investigate the source code and data structures of intricate legacy systems to ascertain current functionalities and document them for the broader team.
• Convert business requirements into well-defined domain models, system designs, and technical concepts (UML, sequence diagrams, etc.).
• Assist engineering teams in discovering optimal implementation patterns and advise them on coding standards and trade-offs.
• Develop APIs, data models, and integration contracts (Sync/Async) that align with a scalable product roadmap.
• Proactively identify scalability limitations and architectural risks within both the current and future system landscape.
• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering, system design, or solution architecture.
• Full-Stack Literacy: Strong capability to read and comprehend source code across various programming languages to understand system behavior.
• Architectural Expertise: Demonstrated experience with distributed systems, microservices, and modular design.
• Integration Master: Extensive background in API design, event-driven systems (asynchronous communication), and complex data modeling (SQL).
• Modernization Mindset: Hands-on experience in refactoring legacy systems and navigating the challenges posed by complex, established environments.
• Communication: Outstanding ability to articulate complex technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders in English.
• Education: A university degree in a technical discipline.
