Senior Technical Director – Air Compliance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Lead, recruit, and mentor a team of current and prospective air compliance scientists, engineers, and other professionals.

• Build and enhance relationships to expand and generate client leads, securing contracts in key industry sectors such as insurance, heavy industry, energy, and manufacturing.

• Oversee multiple large and intricate projects, whether single-site or multi-site, from initiation to completion.

• Provide technical direction and produce high-quality deliverables on complex air compliance regulatory matters.

• Advise clients on permitting obligations and prepare timely, high-quality permitting submissions.

• Formulate timely and innovative regulatory compliance strategies, effectively communicating with regulatory agencies across various jurisdictions.

• Assist clients in scoping and planning related to air-focused regulatory requirements and their potential impacts on air quality.

• Generate high-quality technical reports and conduct QA/QC on project reports prepared by other members of the air compliance team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of 10–15 years of consulting experience in air compliance.

• Proven expertise in the Clean Air Act (CAA) and associated federal, state, and local regulations.

• Knowledge of air emissions reporting procedures.

• Proficiency in air emissions calculations.

• Experience with air emissions inventories.

• Competence in air compliance auditing.

• An existing book of business is required.

• Strong proficiency in the MS Office Suite.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a project team.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

• Strong business acumen and a team-oriented approach.

• Demonstrated financial management skills to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
