• Take responsibility for the quality assurance of mobile applications (iOS/Android), backend services, and internal back-office tool releases.
• Evaluate new features that involve complex cryptocurrency and fintech logic, particularly high-stakes processes (transactions, swaps, asset custody, KYC).
• Foster collaboration between QA and developers on automated testing: create comprehensive test cases, assess actual coverage, and integrate the resulting test suite into daily QA activities.
• Establish and maintain QA standards and metrics, which include test case templates, checklists, bug-reporting standards, defect rates, escape rates, CFR/LT, and building reports for stakeholders.
• Lead initiatives for production stability: monitor logs and metrics (Sentry, Firebase, Grafana), manage incident responses, conduct post-mortems, and identify root causes.
• Mentor the Middle QA engineer and assist in enhancing QA maturity within the team.
• Shape the QA strategy and influence product quality alongside the Team Lead, developers, product managers, and designers.
• Over 7 years of QA experience, with at least 3 years focused on testing mobile products.
• Experience in the fintech or cryptocurrency sector: a clear understanding of the stakes, regulatory environment, and user expectations related to money-movement products.
• User-level familiarity with crypto wallets and a practical understanding of blockchain mechanics: transactions and fees, seed phrases, derivation paths, common token standards (ERC-20, BEP-20, etc.), swaps, and bridges.
• Strong manual testing capabilities across mobile and API (Postman, Charles, or equivalent tools).
• Comprehensive knowledge of performance and load testing principles, with the capacity to design load scenarios; practical experience is advantageous.
• Practical experience in reviewing automated tests and validating coverage in a collaborative environment: crafting detailed test cases, ensuring developer implementations effectively cover specified scenarios, and utilizing the resulting test suite in daily QA operations.
• Experience with QA metrics (defect rate, escape rate, test coverage, CFR/LT) and developing QA reports for stakeholders.
• Practical experience with logs and monitoring tools (Sentry, Firebase, Grafana).
• Demonstrated mentoring experience: mentored 1-2 QA engineers over a period of 6 months, in addition to being actively involved in establishing or enhancing QA processes within the team.
• Proactive and responsible - capable of influencing, communicating, and engaging constructively across product, engineering, and design teams.
• Proficient in English and Russian: Upper-Intermediate level or higher.
