Senior Systems Engineer – Tandem NonStop

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of current systems to guarantee 24/7 uptime for NonStop systems, including connectivity related to clients.

• Direct the planning and execution of major software releases for Guardian OS, Network, and other key components.

• Evaluate and implement security solutions and configurations for the platform.

• Utilize technical knowledge to assist in the deployment of technology architecture and comprehensive system solutions.

• Detect system performance limitations and propose solutions for performance enhancements.

• Conduct analyses, including technical research, to evaluate system performance and capacity.

• Deliver Tier 2 and 3 support across the entire infrastructure.

• Implement ongoing daily improvements for all NonStop servers, as well as off-platform servers such as Splunk, Prognosis, Moogsoft, ServicePoint, SharePoint, and BackPak servers, including their databases, user access, and data security.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience with Guardian OS, NonStop SQL, and NonStop hardware platforms.

• At least 5 years of experience in configuring systems within the NonStop platform from end to end.

• Over 5 years of experience working with SQL, Guardian/OSS, NonStop Web Services (SOAP), and XML or JSON.

• A Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, military experience, or professional background.
