Senior Synon Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Contribute to enhancements in RxCLAIM / Claim Adjudication, with an emphasis on claim processing logic and system integrations.

• Develop and enhance applications that interact with downstream healthcare systems.

• Maintain and upgrade existing systems while also creating new solutions.

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve intricate production issues.

• Document system workflows and business logic comprehensively.

• Engage in the development and maintenance of applications utilizing Synon/Cool2E on IBM i / AS400 platforms.

• Design, develop, and refine COBOL-based programs and batch processes.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and team members.

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to convert PBM/healthcare requirements into scalable solutions.

• Support and enhance systems pertinent to claims processing, eligibility, benefits, and pharmacy operations.

• Lead code reviews, promote best practices, and establish development standards.

• Collaborate on integration initiatives and facilitate data exchange with external systems (EDI, APIs, etc.).

• Participate in or spearhead modernization and legacy transformation projects.

• Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA).

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in Synon development.

• Strong practical experience with COBOL programming in enterprise settings.

• Extensive background in IBM i (AS400) environments.

• Experience in troubleshooting batch processing and high-volume transaction systems.

• Capacity to assume leadership roles as necessary.
