Senior Staff Full Stack Software Engineer – Infrastructure Platforms

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and take ownership of comprehensive software platforms that support enterprise infrastructure and operations teams.

• Lead the architectural design of systems that collect, process, analyze, and present infrastructure and operational data at scale.

• Create backend services and APIs for the purpose of data collection, enhancement, and querying.

• Develop and maintain web interfaces with sophisticated search, filtering, and usability features tailored for technical users.

• Design and execute ETL and data processing pipelines for both structured and semi-structured data sources.

• Ensure that applications are fully containerized and ready for production using Docker and Kubernetes deployment strategies.

• Serve as a technical expert on system design, performance, reliability, and maintainability.

• Collaborate with platform, infrastructure, security, and product stakeholders to develop solutions that align with the long-term platform strategy.

• Establish and maintain engineering best practices regarding testing, code quality, documentation, and operational readiness.

• Evaluate designs and code across the team, offering clear guidance and raising the overall technical standards.

• Identify systemic challenges, minimize technical debt, and actively enhance platform scalability and developer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience as a Staff or Senior Full Stack Software Engineer working on complex, production-level systems.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently in uncertain problem areas and drive solutions to fruition.

• Strong backend engineering background, including API development and data-intensive services.

• Experience in creating data-driven applications involving data ingestion, transformation, and analysis.

• Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages such as C#, Python, Go, or Java.

• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational database management.

• Practical experience with Docker and delivering containerized applications.

• Solid understanding of distributed systems principles and cloud-native application design.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and contemporary software development workflows.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Generally, 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, showcasing ownership of significant or critical systems.
