Senior Specialist, Clinical Documentation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Provide comprehensive and targeted chart reviews to support all care teams throughout the region.

• Ensure efficient and effective medical care delivery for patients.

• Collaborate with regional leaders, especially the Population Health Director and Senior CIS, to enhance daily huddle and CDR workflow processes.

• Access and evaluate HIE/EMRs to pinpoint potential suspects based on test outcomes.

• Determine the need for Medical Records requests from Blue Button and other payer data sources.

• Organize and lead monthly Rejected Suspect Reviews.

• Work alongside the Population Health Director to provide general review assistance.

• Identify and assess opportunities to enhance patient quality outcomes and reduce care costs.

• Analyze the prevalence of chronic conditions based on patient demographics and pinpoint intervention opportunities.

• Oversee clinical documentation efforts.

• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.

• Proficient experience with various technical systems, including Greenway, Canopy, and Excel.

• Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and incorporate various perspectives toward achieving a shared objective.

• Demonstrated capability to establish relationships with healthcare providers.

• Skilled in sourcing and utilizing hospital records, Blue Button, and payer data for precise documentation.

• Capacity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Self-motivated individual with determination, initiative, and the ability to follow through.

• Competent in developing, planning, and executing both short- and long-term objectives.

• Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
