This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
• Develop and expand a solutions engineering department to enhance sales and customer results.
• Outline role descriptions and coverage models (segments, regions, product lines).
• Create a consistent technical discovery and solution design methodology.
• Establish clear engagement frameworks, roles and responsibilities, and success metrics.
• Manage executive relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders, being accountable for:
• Commercial impact (deal assistance, win rates, reduction in cycle time, revenue influence).
• Technical quality (solution precision, readiness for implementation, customer satisfaction, escalations, continuous enhancement).
• Alignment with product vision (AI integration, roadmap contributions, standardization).
• Participate in developing a formal solutions engineering enablement and competency program.
• Define levels, requirements, and maintenance standards (training, assessments, quality metrics).
• Collaborate with Solution Architecture to establish technical standards, reference architectures, and best practices.
• Ensure competencies are quantifiable, auditable, and scalable.
• Contribute to the operational framework for managing and scaling solutions engineering.
• Conduct business and performance reviews with Sales and key stakeholders.
• Establish clear escalation paths and learn from incidents.
• Report on team health, coverage, and capability deficiencies.
• Assist in defining product lines and go-to-market strategies for Remote Build.
• Develop ADRs and PRDs for potential products.
• Identify and abstract solution domains.
• Prioritize AI in all initiatives.
• Design and implement AI agent workflows.
• Convert business processes into agent-enabled workflows (intake, orchestration, guardrails, evaluation).
• Prototype using contemporary LLM tools and refine towards production-level implementations.
• Create human-in-the-loop frameworks, escalation pathways, and observability (quality, cost, latency).
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to deliver secure and reliable agent functionalities (APIs, permissions, data access).
• Demonstrated experience in building and managing a solutions engineering (or similar) function, including recruitment, onboarding, and performance oversight.
• Strong skills in managing executive stakeholders (both internal and external), with a history of achieving results through influence.
• Exceptional cross-functional leadership and operational discipline: capable of transforming ambiguous goals into systematic processes.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical details into executive-level narratives.
• Practical experience in designing, building, and deploying AI agent workflows (or related automation/orchestration systems), with a focus on safety, assessment, and iteration.
• Industry knowledge in HRTech, payroll, HCM, or related fields.
