This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Lead the technical discovery, demonstrations, and validation processes to illustrate how GitLab's AI-driven DevSecOps platform aligns with customers' technical and business requirements throughout the entire lifecycle.
• Oversee the technical evaluation process as the primary accountable individual, which includes solution design, ownership of POC/POV, workshop creation, and the technical elements of tenders, audits, and value stream assessments.
• Work collaboratively with Account Executives and regional sales teams in Central EMEA to develop and implement account strategies that facilitate new customer acquisition and growth.
• Cultivate and strengthen relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders, guiding them through transformations driven by GitLab and empowering them to become advocates for GitLab.
• Provide guidance to customers on contemporary software development, continuous integration, continuous deployment, security, and cloud methodologies, challenging current practices to enhance return on investment.
• Represent the voice of the customer to Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing by relaying feedback, use cases, and competitive insights that shape the roadmap and positioning.
• Maintain and enhance your technical expertise in GitLab, DevSecOps, AI, and associated cloud technologies, developing reusable examples, best practice guidance, and technical materials for customers and partners.
• Commit to your personal growth and development through continuous learning, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to improve the overall impact of the Solutions Architect team.
• More than 8 years of experience engaging with customers in technical pre-sales, consulting, or similar roles, guiding them through solution design and assessment.
• Expertise in the complete software development lifecycle, including modern DevSecOps methodologies and continuous integration and continuous deployment practices.
• Practical experience with GitLab or similar source control, CI/CD, and collaboration platforms, along with the capability to align platform features with customer use cases.
• Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and relevant technologies, with the ability to discuss deployment, security, and operations options with technical teams.
• Competence in leading technical evaluations such as proofs of concept or proofs of value, contributing to tenders or audits, and designing and conducting workshops or value stream assessments.
• Strong technical communication and presentation abilities, with the skill to adjust messages for audiences ranging from practitioners to senior business and technical decision-makers.
• Proven ability to establish trusted relationships, listen empathetically, and act as a customer advocate to internal teams, including Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.
