Senior Software Quality Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Developing and upkeeping both manual and automated test cases

• Conducting story testing in accordance with the Scrum methodology

• Validating documentation during the story testing process

• Contributing to release readiness by performing regression, smoke, integration, and system testing

• Ensuring CI builds are deployed and reporting any issues that arise

• Managing releases

• Adhering to agile development practices and Scrum management techniques

• Executing database queries

• Overseeing the maintenance of test and development environments

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in testing complex software systems, with at least 2 years dedicated to web application testing

• Proficient in SQL

• Experience in testing web applications

• Skills in operating systems and virtual machines

• Background in managing testing environments

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and logical problem-solving abilities

• Knowledge of testing principles and the role of QA in Scrum

• Relevant qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs) with at least 2 years of experience

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and the integration of automated tests into build processes (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)

• Proficient in using browser debugging tools and network analysis tools (e.g., Chrome DevTools, Charles Proxy)

• Practical experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress)
