Senior Software Engineer, Reliability Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain tools and systems that enhance service reliability, monitoring, and alerting.

• Collaborate with various engineering teams to ensure that services are built with reliability as a priority and offer guidance on the effective use of tools and automation.

• Identify areas for enhancing the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our services and drive their implementation.

• Work alongside infrastructure engineers to comprehend the challenges they encounter in operating our services and develop tools and systems to assist them in managing these challenges.

• Engage in incident response and post-mortem analyses to pinpoint and resolve systemic issues.

• Continuously assess new technologies and industry best practices to enhance our SRE tooling and incident response methodologies.

• Acquire and maintain a deep understanding of how critical components of the site function (services, infrastructure, product, tools, and processes).

• Lead high-priority incidents and mentor junior engineers on effective incident management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering or SRE positions, emphasizing large-scale distributed systems.

• Strong programming skills in at least one language, such as Java, Python, or Go.

• Experience with distributed systems and service-oriented architectures.

• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS or Google Cloud Platform.

• Strong belief in software development best practices, including version control, automated testing, and continuous integration and delivery.

• Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Proficient in English (Professional Level).
