Senior Software Engineer, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the development team and other departmental leaders to define the scope and design new toolsets.

• Develop clear plans for tool implementation, incorporating documentation and diagrams as needed to facilitate team collaboration.

• Modify plans to fulfill team requirements, transforming them into functional, well-structured, and efficient applications.

• Recognize inefficiencies and counterproductive aspects of current toolsets, proposing practical solutions.

• Execute redesigns of existing toolsets to enhance performance, compatibility, stability, and/or add new features.

• Complete and assess project documentation or any operational efforts.

• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

• Stay updated on relevant technology assigned to you.

• Engage in other tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience with Python3.

• At least 2 years of experience with MySQL or a similar SQL DBMS.

• Strong proficiency with RESTful APIs, including experience with Python's "requests" library.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in Data Science, Engineering, or Statistics.

• Familiarity with Django is advantageous.

• Experience with Keras, TensorFlow, or other equivalent ML packages is a plus.
