Senior Software Engineer – Infrastructure

📋 Description

• Collaborate with product and platform teams to develop and implement solutions that enhance our cloud services, infrastructure, and tools.

• Address infrastructure challenges using a software-driven, cloud-first strategy while maintaining a strong focus on quality, testability, and repeatability.

• Work closely with teams to execute product roadmaps and objectives, emphasizing service delivery and reliability.

• Assist in establishing best practices and engineering standards within the team.

• Help identify and minimize toil through innovative solutions and automation.

• This role will involve stand-by, on-call, or off-hours responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in development with JavaScript/Node.js/TypeScript within a Linux/Mac environment.

• Extensive experience in building and deploying infrastructure in a public cloud setting using a software development-driven methodology (Cribl utilizes Terraform).

• Significant background in complex development ecosystems, particularly with large-scale, highly available distributed systems and SaaS platforms.

• Strong understanding of writing software and API-driven solutions designed to manage and abstract infrastructure details at the most granular level.

• Experience in scaling and deploying Linux-based systems.

• Familiarity with sustainable incident response practices in a blameless culture.

• Comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy and collaborating cross-functionally within a widely distributed team of engineers.
