This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.
• Become a member of a small, experienced team at the initial phase of developing a product from the ground up.
• Transform product specifications into comprehensive technical design documentation.
• Design and implement backend services capable of supporting enterprise-scale demands.
• Create systems with a focus on high availability and fault tolerance.
• Integrate security considerations at every level—application, API, and infrastructure.
• Manage API design across both public-facing and internal service boundaries, including schema modeling and integration patterns.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product and design stakeholders throughout the development process.
• Excel in a remote-first setting using a combination of synchronous video calls and asynchronous communication.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and tackle new challenges with a genuine sense of curiosity.
• Participate in engineering recruitment by conducting interviews and assessing candidates.
• Proficient understanding of Go programming language.
• Practical experience with microservices and service-oriented architecture.
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and designing relational database schemas, preferably using Postgres.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD workflows and container orchestration through Kubernetes.
• Previous experience in building observability tools—metrics pipelines, alerting systems, and distributed tracing.
• Familiarity with modern authentication protocols such as OAuth 2.0, SAML, OIDC, or WebAuthn (Preferred).
• Exposure to corporate IT and security tools (device management, endpoint protection, etc.) (Preferred).
• Experience in designing and maintaining audit log systems (Preferred).
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, CCPA) (Preferred).
• Understanding of PKI infrastructure and certificate management (Preferred).
• Fully remote work environment, with expected core overlap during North American business hours.
